The public space as a place for dialogue, as a place that can be designed and in which we move every day, is the starting point of our conference. What meaning do urban practices and strategies acquire in the appropriation of a place? Which negotiaitons of place play a role in everyday cooperation? And what is the position of art in this debate? Urban Art as a form of art that interacts with physical space has great potential in view of debates about „“public space““. Apart from an open, more general approach, the topic will also be approximated from a local perspective.
