Animals are in the centre of Roa’s art. He feels especially attracted to “common” animals. With the help of his tremendous paintings he manages to vitalise birds, rats, pigs and other animals in the urban space. Roa is fascinated in particular by their diversity in representation, their metaphorical strengh as well as by the peaceful-morbid mode of the circle of life.
