BLU & Captain Borderline – first CityLeaks Murals

Italian Street Art grandmaster BLU unofficially opened CityLeaks Festival in June with a stunning large-scale mural at Cologne´s Hansaring. Located at one of the city´s busiest spots, the menacing head of a faucet haired medusa stares down on the passing traffic. To its left we can glimpse Street Art duo Captain Borderline realizing their mural. In immidiate neighbourhood to Cologne´s largest cinema palace their wall reveals the business of moving pictures as collective brainwashing. See their work in time lapse.

Since the nineties BLU has been active as a street artist. He is worldwide known for his epic murals and detailed Stop Trick Clips. With his large comical figures, he began to leave his impression in many countries. In his artwork one can always encounter an attempt to communicate with the public or the search for a place’s uniqueness. He extended his artistic repertoire further with his numerous drawings.
