During CityLeaks Festival, a large wall at Vogelsanger Straße became home to one of Chilean street artist INTIs enigmatic ninja figures. Seemingly inviting and holding us off alike, the bright fellow with its totemic masks, skull necklace and maize cobs unites all kinds of motives and elements from Chilean indigenous cultures. No matter what ideas it will provoke in the passerby, one will always feel the powerfully radiant warmth emanating from INTI’s beautiful wall that promises to heat up Cologne on cold days to come. Inti

Latin-American murals and graffiti from the 1990s influenced Inti’s artistic orientation. Since 2008 he has been travelling outside of South America with his artwork. However, South America is still his main source of inspiration. His most recent works portray iconographic elements and colours that remind one of the original inhabitants of Latin America. He combines these factors with graffiti’s illustrative and vectorial aesthetics. Continue reading
