ZEDZ & Smash137 Web clip

Graffiti grandmasters Smash137 from Switzerland and ZEDZ from the Netherlands created a joint piece on a large wall at Ehrenfeld´s EVA centre. Smash´s unique style-writing and Zedz´ multi-dimensional square pieces merge into an impressive tableau at the edge of graffiti and street art. Watch them “co-scoring” their artwork and listen their comments on street art, graffiti and everything in between.

ZEDZ

Zedz, an artist based in Amsterdam, focuses on materialising graffiti by transforming it from a two-dimensional into a three-dimensional entity. His works are based on typography, and can be seen as a quest to develop new ways of presenting his name. The results are often expressive and playful. Rhythm, shape and dimensionality play an important role. However, the readability of his name Zedz is always the core of the piece of art. Continue reading
